5 things yoga taught me that I should teach my kids
Life is funny. Especially parenthood. I find myself so busy go-go-going that I never have time to stop and realize how much I’ve learned along the way.
I started practicing yoga over 10 years ago after some back and heart issues. I was treating myself so poorly that my body was literally yelling at me. My doctor recommended yoga, and after my first class I was hooked. Yoga for me was something that stuck with me, getting me through the physical pain 10 years ago, and then getting me through more hard times 5 years ago after a miscarriage at 12 weeks pregnant (on my 30th birthday nonetheless). With support from my amazing husband and with family and friends by my side, I realized I wanted to take my yoga practice a step further, and 200 hours of training later, I became a certified yoga instructor.
And as yoga became more and more a part of my life, I was still completely missing the amazing lessons it was teaching me along the way. And even still, I haven’t even realized how amazing these lessons would be for my kids to learn too! So while I figure out a way to teach 2 crazy toddlers these 5 amazingly important things below, I’ll tell them to you first.
